The DOGENET (also known as the D, or DNET, or simply DOGE) is an encrypted network that can be utilized only by human operators. As such, it is considered slower and less reliable than the greater internet[citation needed]. It is the only section of the human knowledge that can't be accessed by Artificial Intelligence entities, such as Turing. It is operated as an encrypted federation of human entities.

DOGENET was founded in the early 40s by an unknown group of hackers and activist in what was then the state of California. It is rumored that the group of hackers included Dylan Huan, later elected governor[citation needed].
